Step 1 – Graduation

Step 2 – Selection Process
SSC CGL or UPSC
Direct entry as **Sub-Inspector** is through the **SSC CGL** exam (Tier I & II). High-level entry (Group A) is via the **UPSC Civil Services Exam** into the Indian Police Service (IPS), followed by deputation to the CBI.
Step 3 – Physical & Medical Standards
Eligibility Check
Candidates must meet specific physical requirements (Height: 165cm for men, 150cm for women) and pass a rigorous medical examination, including vision standards.
